Is there a list of the big European bike jumbles?

I guess the don't use the word jumble in Belgium, France and Italy.

Any tips for finding these events?

The French term is bourse aux velos. You can also try marche aux puces which is flea market.

There are quite a few if you Google them.

Cheers. What about Belgium ?

I figured there may be a few big ones.

I know there's meant to be a biggie before the start of the Retro Ronde.

(I'm buggered if I know the Flemish for bike jumble though !)

Some Flemish translations:

Rommelmarkt = jumblesale
Fietsenrommelmarkt = bike jumble
Vlooienmarkt = Flea market
Sorry, Mijnheer, maar ik vind u prijzen belachelijk = Sorry, my dear Sir, but I find your prices ridiculous.

Good luck,

Johnny

What are the big ones here? Is the Herne hill event any good?

BTW, the Stalen Ros is one of the biggest bike jumbles in Belgium.
They seem to try to hold it in legendary locations like Het Kuipke and
Het Sportpaleis.
Unfortunately, this year's edition is 24 March, which is a bit short notice.
However, I think there is also a Dutch edition in October.

BTW 'fietsbeurs' is the Flemish version of 'bourse de Velo'.

The Dutch version is now in March in Neerkant in the south of Holland. The Belgium version is as far as I know in OCtber in het Kuipke.
