Pace RC100 rebuild

Are they open both sides then?

I will shed any light i have with regards to help,there are quite a few friendly good sources on the forum aswell.

Found a few more bits for the build

Managed to get some NOS gold rings from a fellow member,so just need a gold middle ring now(if anyone has one)



Got the all important forks and stem/steerer too



Now im not going for the grey/yellow look so these went into work with me and got bead blasted,i also polished the crown and replaced with black alloy bolts



Then they were powder coated satin black,new decals,still waiting on new black alloy bolt for stem



So now have the set for the frame




Ive noticed that theres quite a bit of height difference in the two forks from crown to dropout,must make a big difference in the geometry of the bike :?



Having my wheels built next few weeks so the bikes slowly getting there.

Refr the Geometry..

On mine once you add my (considerable) weight the forks compress quite a bit

Right,bit confused now.

Ive got a threaded XC Pro headset but the steerer piece on the stem/steerer combo isnt threaded,what sort of headset is needed here,is the XC Pro one no good now :?

my RC100 came with a 1 " ahead type unit. The Pace stem assembly seems to operate like an inverse ahead assembly and the setup seemed pretty smooth.
