MBK Racing Trainer / Mirage Interesting frame and colour.

Hi Bought this MBK a few weeks back to get back into road cycling. However the sizing was advertised wrongly. I've really enjoyed riding this but it's not the ideal size and I've now found a bike in the size I want.

It goes, stops and changes gear cleanly. The wheels could do with a slight true to make perfect but they roll fine on the road. There's a few little scratches and couple of little rust spots but nothing major at all.

I haven't done anything to it, just bought and ridden it. If I was keeping it I would give it a good clean and tidy up little details like the cable ends, etc.

Interesting top tube shape, rear seat stay and the colour, a pink/purple fade. Looks more pink at some angles, more purple at others. Anyway, always brightens up a dull day!

Full Shimano Exage 300EX group set with BioPace chainring.

Seat tube: ctc 57cm

That seat cluster is lovely, as is the top tube. IIRC it has a groove under the top tube for the cable to sit in doesn't it? Ogh and the concealed seat bolt in the end of the top tube, very neat....I've nearly talked myself into buying it!

I think this frame came with various groupsets this trainer being the lowest with 300ex.

That's right it has a neat cable groove underneath the tt.

It's a great frame, as you say it was the groupsets that changed, the frame remaining the same for higher modes.

I'm the very defintion of not local, based in Devon.

I'll have to have a think. Can I ask what the sizing issue was for you? I'm still trying to get my head around Road bike sizing and I think (think!) this would be on the low side of what I need (I'm 6ft 2 and as my wife likes to describe, stubby)

They also have a Raleigh 501 Eclipse is a local shop for £110 which I'm going to check out again.

I do like the colour though.........
