Retrobike National Series Rd 1: Lake District ~ CANCELLED

Re: Retrobike National Series Rd 1: Lake District ~ 23/03/13

There's a nice campsite on the shore just a short roll away from the start point, not sure they'll be open this early in the year though...

Accommodation booked. Bike nearly together. Even time for a test ride next week to make sure nothing falls off. ( rider and bike that is).

Count me in, be good to meet up with you all. Will see if I can bring something suitable to ride. May have my 97 Cindercone together, if not will have a 98/99 Specialized Ground Control.

Looks like its my very battered Bridgestone MB3 for this if I can just get the ******* gears to work

Hope its not snowing then, camping in snow is not for me !

I was hoping you'd be warning us about heavy sleet Rob, it normally does the opposite to whatever you forecast.

Great news on the savoury snacks, but the real question is will you be windmilling through the Bluebell Cafe or will you be saving that for the Grizedale visitor centre at lunch?

Is the alternate Grizedale Visitors centre food stall still open ?

I'm not sure whether the burger van will be parked up Ben.
I suspect it will be but maybe one of the locals can confirm...?

Otherwise I'm sure that Rob won't mind bringing along enough snacks for everyone.
