Does anyone happen to know what the lower race bearing angle whatsits info is for a 1-1/8" Ritchey Logic WCS headset is. (it's a gold coloured race)
Can't quite make it out and these aheadset things are a bit knew to me.
Ball bearing are so much easier.

Mines err toast, probably didn't help filling the headtube with water and leaving the bearing sat in it

I take it IS42 is the naming of the headset size (quick good search)

I popped mine apart and all the races are not really there on the bottom one and 3 bearing dints in the top one so useless.
Now it has the dimensions on the side of them (both different) 45/45 ACB and the inner outer measurments
But I've lost the bit of paper I wrote it one
I think one was 41x30.15 and they are both 7mm thick

No idea what campag pattern means, but assume it's the 45/45 bit.

( I now need both after having a look at them)
Probably just get the same headset as it'll be cheaper

45/45 ACB = 45 x 45 degree angular contact bearing.

IS42 is the headset configuration and bearings are 41.8mm diameter.

The bearings from this will fit: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=58426

these are definitely for one of them 41.0 x 30.15mm diameter. It says so on the side.

Found some on there, probably get the cheaper ones Need to check they also have the slightly different size as well for the pair (still not as large as the 'drop-in one.)

A search on the web using you info before as help mention you need the specific size and the 41.8 will not fit either.

Oh just popped to Ritchey webisite. Says Lifetime warranty on bearing, now if I could only remember where I bought them from and when and...
Anyways it mentions
Upper Fit (S.H.I.S.): EC34/28.6
Lower Fit (S.H.I.S.): EC34/30

Thanks for the help, been interesting delving into another world of acronyms and multitude of different standards and sizes. I suppose that's what happen when you want replaceable bearing races. Tiny bearing in these cartridges though.
