Where do you keep you cables

From what I have seen, plenty of people don't bother trimming the pre cut sets.

Pringles tins are useful in totally dry storage situations.

Buy a reel, in average home use they last years and it is satisfying being able to cut to the length you need with little wastage.
 
I just normally use 2 inch white pvc plumbing tube about 8 ft long and let the cable unfold straight and store in there. I also use push on capped ends with an o ring on to keep them dry and condensation free then attach the tube to a ceiling/in the shed/garage/mancave or loft then when i need to use them they are straight from day 1

You can of course vary the tube size to your own needs
