KONA cycling top. Guess from 1997?...but not sure

Just got this Kona cycling top on ebay. Not too sure of the year, guess 1997? Its quite small for a large size though......good job its very stretchy!

Love the vibrant colours and logos on the back, Kona did some great kit andbikes back then - what went wrong?

Not a wizard at Kona's but the graphic in the background is the headtube decal they stopped using from 1997 onwards so I'd wager it's 96 at a push, possibly 94/95???

I agree on the decline in desirability and moving away from steel to alu on some of their hardtails (or rather the cinder cone) - I always wondered why...

my money's on 96 or 97 will check in my catalogues for you later this evening.
i know its not 94 or 95
in my experience all kona tops from the 90's are a very tight fit!!!!

The image of the spiral in the back ground is pre 97 but the kona 'jungle' logo is defo post 97... I'd say 97 but then again i could be wrong!

It's a 97 jersey. Best way to check is look in the catalogues, the year ahead of what you think it is since they didn't have the actual years jersey and riders ready until after publication. So the 98 catalogue has the 97 pics, the 97 has 96 and so on.
