Fs: raleigh team Ti 60cm offers over £450

Acquired in the 80's by a chap who had it from new. I'm the second owner. He used as his race bike, I used as my commuter then restored to what we have here.

Includes wheel covers but doesn't include pedals.

Serial number WM001831.

Odd parts on the Raleigh! deserves a better spec! The rear mech' comes from the USA.

Please specify how much you would like for the bike rather than offers over...

Could you also clarify the numbers on the Reynolds badge?

Yes Tel it is!! Note the U.S safety stop screw surrounds... Back in the 80's in the good old
United Safety Of America went daft on safety with bikes! So Campag' had to alter their
components so they could be shipped and sold in the USA.You ever seen the Campag' SR
chainset with the chain-guard fitted which itself is made by Campag? These things made
the chain-set look shite, but these guards are worth around £100 each these days,
Campag' also made there own spoke guard for the rear wheel! Oh and don't forget
the rubber gear lever covers too, the list was endless....lol

W Frame number is a Worksop Carlton built frame September 1980, Badged as a Carlton or a Raleigh.

Worksop closed in 1981 and frame building was transferred to Nottingham but the "W" numbers continued. Likely supplied as a stock frame or built with the kit of the day.

TdF Raleigh frames were stamped SB ( for Special Bike Division) or not stamped at all.

The USA rules also stopped straight skewers, straight brake release and had brake wheel guides dipped in rubber.... All a bit "stabby".
