1994 Dean Ti - FINISHED (again) 05/07/2018

Re: 1994 Dean **FINISHED 3/1/13**

Ok, I finally found one of the forks that I wanted. One of those forks being a early 90s Pepperoni aluminum fork. The challenge was getting one with a steerer tube that is long enough. I then had to get it painted black. Today I was finally able to get it mounted.

Re: 1994 Dean Titanium - FINISHED 3/1/13

Sorry if this isn't the most appropriate place to enquire, but what is the history behind the dean brand? To me the brand sounds like what a Chav tracksuit wearing, cider drinking teen would be called  . Please enlighten me, oh I do remember leisure lakes retailed them in the mid 90's, that's about it really!

a really good job!
I adore bike titanium ;)

Thanks! I can now start riding it. I always held off since it I knew it wasn't finished, probably a personality quirk. I really didn't like the Surly forks and in my mind it took away from the enjoyment. Those Surly forks were so heavy compared to the Pepperoni forks.

I am not sure what that reference means, but it sounds like you mean "cheesy?"

Well sort of! So what's the history of the great name "DEAN" ?

Adore the frame and components, but I really think it would suit a straight fork (I understand why you ditched that P2 though).
The bike is so angular and clean, a curved fork looks strange to me.
Pace rigids or Switchblades might look nice?

Pace, Switchblades, IRD Expedition were the other forks on my list. They are tough to find though. I am always on the lookout. I also thought a out putting a P-Bone (without the shock) too, aluminum straight blade.
