repairing tubular tyres

Blimey that's got us all nostalgic, kids these days......thanks for sharing ;) riding continental giros now on my retro rebuilds, just need plenty of rain and no ice to clean up the roads and I'll be out

In theory yes - but they're never QUITE the same again no matter how much care is taken. Even when I took ages ensuring everything lined up etc. there was more often than not a 'kick' in the tread afterwards. I very rarely raced on a repaired tub - but I certainly trained on them! Couldn't afford not to!
