Promax brake lever question

I have some Promax brake levers suitable for v brakes and cantilever brakes.

I want to use them on cantilever brakes, but the inner cable connector/eye ? has been set for v brakes, and from what i can understand the rivit has to be removed to allow use with cantilever brakes.

Am i correct in this, is it possible to drill out the rivet and replace :oops:

I'm not sure anything promax ever made was worth the time and effort when you can pick up a pair of appropriate levers for about a fiver

No, i changed my build and moved on to another set up.
