Im new to retro bikes but got recommended from a friend to help sell
Raleigh Road Ace 1984, I bought this from a friends dad, i was in there garage and saw it hanging up and jugging by the condition i think that's were its spent nearly all its life.
I cant believe the condition i have been reading up on this bike, what to look for and specs, and im pleased to say it is nearly all original. The Mavic gp'4's have hardly any brake block wear on the braking surface, and rims are as straight as a dye. The chain, cassette and chain rings and jockey wheels are like new.
It has the original clear plastic headset cover. shimano bar end plugs. full 600ax group set, listed below
Hubs, QR scewers, shifters, rear mech, front mech, Brake levers, para pull calipers, Chain set, Pedals, Dura race bars, seat post, the saddle is iscaselle tornado.
Gipiemme dropouts. Reynolds 531c the frame has no rust no dents. the brake blocks are hardly worn.
The only things i can say is the tubs are flat and started to perish the lever hoods are in tact but rubber is aged.
the blue handle bar tape is still on but needs tidying up.
If this was fitted with new tubs it would be ready to ride/race
