Well that green one is actually the lesser known Dawes timebomb which is only good for disposal via a specialist ie me. So if you would care to get it boxed up and sent to me I will see to it that it erm won't ever get used.... probably

k, here's the story as i know it:

i worked at a shop here for the better part of 11 years. i acquired this frame through several trades with co-workers, for parts and such, many years ago. one of the previous owners had the original dropouts replaced with Surley horizontal drops, with a derailleur hanger. this was done , to my knowledge by an older gentleman in rhode island, who was a professional welder, and played around with steel frames often. it seems to be done properly.

i was planning on building this up with all of the pictured parts, but have discovered there is not enough clearance between the small cog, and the dropout itself. see pics. you could run this as a single speed no problem, and i imagine a 7 speed cassette would work too.

KONA EXPLOSIF, reynolds 853 chromoly steel frame. blue w red decals.
i am not positive of the year, although i believe it to be a 1998.

what do ya think? it is certainly a unique creature..

Ritchey p-22 frames.

Can anyone help me out. I have been offered two p-22 frames (tig welded) in size 17" and 19". The 17" is red in good used condition with original fork and ok paint. The 19" is in team paint with original fork but with a bad paint and rust bubbels and a re brazed drop out. How much is the marked prise for these two nice queens? I know this is hard to say without any pictures. But just some thoughts would be nice.

Regards

Jakob

BTW: considering buying them both and pass on the 17"

Hi there, I have two frames/bike that I have been thinking of selling, a 1994 Kona Hei Hei and 1996 Rocky Mountain Blizzard. Just received a RekTek Titanium frame so that is why I am debating on selling the Hei Hei and Blizzard. I just don't have time to build and ride all three so these might be the two on the chopping block.

Hei hei frame only you'll get around the £500 mark for and the Blizzard depending on condition £150-£200. Seen the blizzards go for more and less. I sold my Blizzard for just under £150 I think and it was a bit grubby.

Edit. Just spotted you're in Canada so prices may vary.

Anybody have an estimate for a cracked Ti '97 kona king kahuna? It's got a 9-10mm crack at the seat tube/ top tube junction. Was told by Enigma it would be £90 to weld. Must be worth something to someone?

Cheers for any help.

Since I received a rather rude message late last night referring to the poor condition/high price of my RS2 chainset on eBay I thought I'd ask here. Am I way off the mark with the price? I'm not sure of the value and am not out to rip anyone off. I might add the message received was not an offer to negotiate price but simply someone's opinion of my item.

I don't think they're way off at all, and you have the best offer option anyway. You will always get nutters and idiots on ebay unfortunately. Just ignore them and wait, and if you get no interest, then maybe revise the price.
Its a damn shame those Hope wheels you have are blue - if they were purple I'd have them!

Cheers,
Andrew
