New rear shock for GT LTS 3000 DS???

Anyone know if there's a shock out there other than the original Rockshox Delux which is relatively easy to fit on a Trunion style rear?

u can use the one off the cannondale jekyll it has been done before its a fox air shock

whats up with ur rear shock ?

Nothing up with it, per se, it still works okay. I just read that the Rockshox super delux is not so good. I just upgraded the fork, and to me it suddenly feels a bit dead at the back. Maybe I can mess with the settings, but I don't know if it will make that much difference.

Does the Fox fit the GT trunion, or does it need machining?
 
Sorry, missed the reply.

Can you tell me, when you say machined out 2 mm, I'm assuming it will need re-threading. Would you know the thread is - does the thread wind through the trunion, or does it just sit there?

Don't know the thread but a good machine shop would be able to do it and there's thread on the shock body of the fox shock

Or for 200 quid lts rear end with air shock on eBay atm (comes with a Sts dh rear end but shock will fit onto a lts and ill buy the rear end off u )
