Hello All,

I have just purchased this vintage track frame, i would love to know who built it and return it back to its former glory with new paint and decals.

Serial number 7314.
TT stamped on the bottom bracket shell.
26.8 seat-post.
531 tubes.
Campagnolo drop-outs.

Can anyone help identify the builder?

Thanks.

i thought that at first, but correct me if im wrong, the frame number does not match to one of a carlton...... also the flyers had hearts cut-out inside the lugs of that shape..... and though campag (or style)track ends were used on models around the 70's, all the ones with similar style Lugs had drop-outs like these.......

Thanks Ned and Shaun for you detective work, unless anyone else has any ideas??? looks like its a flyer..... but the serial numbers don't seem to match up with Carlton's..... the original owner said he imported it from Australia..... maybe it has done a round trip....

Well, mine was a 27.0. I reckon there must be thousands of detail variations on the overall theme with regard to lug cutouts, rear ends etc. It might even be an 'unofficial' build by a staff member for himself or a mate!

It's got so many Carlton like features it's hard to label it as something else :)

And as Old Ned mentioned they didn't all come out looking like a catalogue item.
