I've always wanted one, got an offer way, way back to have one for free if I stumped up the cash for the kit they wanted me to run on it... Never happened though as I didn't have anywhere near the money to buy even the hardware. Missed out on a few of them over the years, and then last year I was chatting to my little brother about what he wanted for his 30th... long story short we bought him an M1, this M1. It's already had a full new decal kit and everything's there other than a set of forks to build it up. I do not want to finish it as then it has to go over to Spain to my brothers place. Anyway, as it stands right now:

That's ace. The decals look great. I was we'll impressed with the ones they did for my Tazer.

Any Ida on the build plans for it?

It's a cr-ht yep: viewtopic.php?f=41&t=198971&p=1832843#p1832843

This M1 has hope 6pot ti's, some Alex supra d rims on what look like alex hubs which are lovely (ive stripped and re-bearing'd them both) but I've only ever seen their roady stuff. Had some Dorados lined up but I'm 99% sure they're never going to turn up, so I've got the feelers out for something to get it running, i keep looking at shivers even though theyre really weighty. Have a choice of bars, stem, etc. cranks I'm not sure on. Gearing I've got a nice close ratio cassette and ultegra mech. Will have flats or dx spd pedals depending on the ride.

Good stuff. Shivers aren't that bad...I had a set and they were great, really supple and hey took a beating. They weren't much heavier than my 888's which were also great forks.

So things are slow going around here, found some White Brothers UD180s that I think are up for the job. They really are a mini MX fork:

Had a play around with a few bits, have an Azonic shorty that I'll run on it but chucked some bits on just to have a look. Wanting to get a new crankset as I've only got a set of DMR 3piece cranks in the parts box, but haven't found anything for decent money yet. So for the time being:

I've a set of guards for the forks, the front brake is rebuilt and ready to bleed but all I'm lacking now is a bit of time to set everything up and decide on the gearing to run.

Couldn't resist another 1/2hour on it, although its done me in for good today back in bed with manflu!

That's looking sweet! Love the look of those old M1s. It's just a shame about the geometry, looks like it would be pretty scary to ride with the BB that high and the HA that steep. Have you thought about fitting a slightly shorter shock or something?
