The *NOT BORING!* Hi-Fi faff chat and sales

Re: The Hi-Fi Chat and sales thread

Have to admit I don't know an awful lot about this but I was using it with my decks.
These are now in the loft so its surplus to requirements.
Its a Yamaha DSP-A590 All working with 2 remotes. One has the battery holder taped on.
I'm not really sure on value but I paid £75 so we will start there.
Open to advice on it.

Arcam Alpha 9 amp for sale

In prep for the impending arrival of a Quad 44 / 405 from LGF, I have this beeeeoooty for sale. Cosmetically immaculate, fully working Arcam 9 integrated amplifier, specs below. I have it on eBay as £100 start, 'buy it now' £150 and £17 postage. On here, I'll let it go for £120 posted. This is a similar percentage cheaper than LGF's Quads if I'd bought from eBlag, so I think thats fair.

Might even be open to bike parts swaps for this.

Re: The Hi-Fi Chat and sales thread

It's a non-disk build sorry, and I have a pair of RC35's already for it.

Would be after some nice non-disk wheels, aftermarket chainset (Middleburn or similar), XT brakes / shifters / mechs. Mid to late 90's stuff probably.

Re: The Hi-Fi Chat and sales thread

Forgot to say I'd be up for swapping mine for bike parts too

Re: The Hi-Fi Chat and sales thread

I've got an old Trichord Revelation CD player and a Musical Fidelity X-A1 amp. Been meaning to ask people what it's worth....I'm probably going to sell them but not sure what the going rate is. FleaBay reckon £300 for the X-A1 which is more than expected....probably around £100 for the CD player.

Any ideas if this is accurate? Can post pics later....

Re: The Hi-Fi Chat and sales thread

My Arcam is sold - Went for £175 inc post. Happy with that.

LGFs Quad kit arrived this eve. Just sitting looking at it right now wondering where to start. Get the necessaries done first tomorrow PSU caps, then see which phono card version I've got - with a view to designing a better one

Workshop is now complete and most of my kit is moved in so I can get started pretty much straight away - now who was it wanted CD player mods?

Re: The Hi-Fi Chat and sales thread

Apache - Are you up for general repair/improvement to hifi kit for other folks? I think the phono stage on my Audiolab 8000A has given up. I have no local repairers within 100miles so my options are either travel or posting anyway.........

:D
