1996 DBR Axis R

I was hoping you'd say yes for sooner, and I could make use of your cable cutters. ;) I can see daylight through mine when closed now. Need to get some more. Will pop along to On Yer Bike tomorrow, and borrow Chris', steal some cable ends too, he's good like that.

You may be right about the seatpost size Neil. The gap in the frame does seem to get narrower at the top, which is straight on my others. Guess I still need a nice 27.0 seatpost

I've run out of money too

Postman came today. He delivered a M737, but not the one from Troje yet. I forgot I had set a snipe on one on ebay. It is in much better condition than Troje's, and wasn't much more. Seems I have a spare M737 chainset :| Still think my mate will take it from me, assuming he gets through rehab next week.

Anyhoo, time for some pic :D

Something peeking out in the background on this one too ;)

and it's done, until I can get the cash together to get a nice 27.0 seatpost, Middleburn RS2, and a reissue Smoke

Love the subtle, classy style of this. The chainset might not be very "trick" but blends in perfectly with the M739.

This is exactly the sort of bike I expected to find when I registered here but in reality there's bugger-all nice mid-to-late 90s bikes! Philistines! Maybe their time is yet to come?

Got some pics today, before and during the test ride. Despite going for the hard/stiff springs, still a bit bouncy for me. Any suggestions? Other than that, the indexing went to pot, so assume the cables have stretched, so need to sort it in the morning before my ride. My front brakes came loose, resulting in the right block rubbing against the spokes. Glad I got a couple of tuning kits last week :D

Such a cool bike, man, enjoyed the build and the read

That looks tidy now

Love those Tioga stems, so clean and sleek, no sticky out bits to catch your knees on
