I use XT SPD trail pedals on mine... best of both worlds.

Rode it at Cwmcarn last weekend, absolutely love it. Rode the descents like it was on rails. The frame could explode in a shower of carbon dust tomorrow and I'd buy another one without hesitation.

Been out a couple of times. Getting pretty comfortable with the spds now so all good.

And chain finally stretched too far so out with the old hg93 (it lasted 700miles) and in with a little bling....

Think this will be staying as the mix of riding to places to go off road isn't ideal with only a 36t up front.

Anyone interested in a 36t and shimano bash?

Decided on swapping the bash for the 44t outer but kept the 36t middle.

Hopefully this won't cause me any problems as I get on well with the 36t off road just need the slightly longer gearing on road.

Or not. Couldn't get it to shift properly between middle an outer.

Odd, I have an SLX chainset with 22/36/44 - no problems. :?
