'Eddy' Cycles, Antwerp information

Benjamin

Retro Newbie
Hi,
I've been living in my current flat for just over a year, for that whole time there has been this bike parked in the carpark downstairs that hasn't moved since I moved in.It's in quite a sorry state.
It doesn't look like a racer but I've always been curious about what it is. Google hasn't produced any results of use.
Has anyone got any information on this brand or type of bike?

Thanks very much,

'Eddy Cycles' is most likely a bike shop rather than a brand. The brand of the bike is 'Rapide', which
was a producer of mid-low range bikes of a type you see all over Belgium, being ridden into the
ground by students, thrown in rivers, hung in trees, left to rust in the rain...

Probably worth about €40, would make a decent enough bike for the daily commute, and
could be easily converted to fixie or single speed if you wanted to.

Ok thanks Johnny, I thought that may be the case, it didn't look all that good a bike.
I think it may have been left behind by the previous occupant of my flat actually, I think she was Belgian.

I'll leave it where it is.

Thanks,
Ben
