First and most loved

First car was a mk1 escort, i had it for 4 hours. the seller sold it to me without docs saying his dad was at work in london and had the docs in the car and would drop them around that night. I was so excited i gave over the cash and took the car. The docs and the dad seemed to always be difficult to get hold of after 2 days I suggested I pop round with the local plod and we resolve that issue. He met me and he gave me back my cash

my first love of a car was what folllowed, a mk2 cortina 1600e in a mettallic purple. I had that for two years till I moved to london where some kind person decided they wanted it more than me..in the middle of the night :(

MKII Golf GTI written off, not by me....honest.

al. :(

First was (and is!) a 1970 SIIA 88" Land Rover, "restored" from dumped scrap to road-legal working scrap with my brothers. It has been about 98% rebuilt properly more recently but hasn't quite been taken for an MOT yet... the petrol bill wasn't cheap sixteen years ago (four star in those far off days) but I hate to think what it would be now if it were used regularly!

Most loved is probably my last car, 1993 Volvo 850 - not a T5, but easily fast enough. The quality of the design and manufacture was just streets ahead of any other car I've had or driven (actually better than my current S70 which is effectively the "upgraded" model of the same thing). Everything about that car was ergonomic perfection and quality, other than the odd piece of trim here and there (broken parts were invariably stamped "Made in France!") - all the important stuff was just spot on. Oh and it sounded fantastic too, far better than the Turbo models in my opinion (my current one has a turbo)

My 1st car was a 1986 Mk3 Escort 1.3L, utter bag of spanners. 1 gallon of oil to every 800 miles...

Needless to say I got shot of it quite quickly..

Favourite car is my current one, a 1.9TDi Seat Ibiza FR with 130BHP & 230ftlbs of torque, think I'll be running this one into the ground as I see no need for anything different. Well maybe a remap

1963 Daimler 2.5 v8 saloon i restored with a girlfriends dad till she got the raging hump about us restoring it.
first car and my favorite - languising somewhere i britol now :/

My first car was a Lada Riva - bought it for a princely sum of £20 and flat bed scanner (in 2001) - was a beast and rear wheel driven, lots of fun had in gravelly car parks

My first car was a J reg rover 414 SLi, drove well and was comfy, just the typical K-series head decided it didnt like doing the job of being a head, and quit!

Second car was given to me by my dad, a j reg rover 414 SLi, i believe this one ended up parked behind my previous one in the local scrapyard after its head (which was already going when i was given it) tried to race the gearbox as to which would fail first, the box won!

My best loved car was a car from a couple of years back, flame red cavalier mk3 LS TD, nothing special you think straight away....

Spent A LOT, of time effort and money on that car, full turbo skirt and bumper kit, full diplomat leather (wired the heated seats in too) elec sunroof, elec aerial, total closure cat1 alarm, upped fuel and boost to 20 psi, full machine polish (by myself) used to take her to the local tesco jetwash in winter on a night, and then dry her off in the understore carpark and polish her twice a week even when it was raining/snowing!

Swapped for a v6 vectra SRi estate a few years ago and regretted it ever since, cav is still alive though, living in donny now!

My second car was a Vauxhall Astra, we bought it from the auctions knowing NOTHING about cars or buying them for £350, it was the worst kind of lemon imaginable within three months we realised our mistake and took it to the Vauxhall dealership and got ourselves a G reg Nova had that for years.
