DBR Axis TT 1993 project

Left crank already polished after using needle file for a couple o f deep scuffs, then 400grit paper, 1'00grit and 2000grit. Then came the Dremel polishing tool and in the end hand polishing using Auto Glym Metal Polish.

Right crank is in process.

More bits arrived in the last couple of days: XTR 950 casette (12-32) and new M900 stickers.

Wheels are coming from Poland (Conorio MT 910 rims and Pulstar hubs). I know the front Pulsar hub might be too bulky for this frame and forks combo but I definitely wanted some color and turquoise seemed to be quite right.

The thread lenght in the fork is not enough so I´ll try to fix it through next week.

And polishing of the right crank is already finished.

BTW, I´ve just got myself an XT M900 front mech so 953 goes out.

It´s not a P2 but a custom made fork from XACD. I sold it two weeks ago to a friend who also owns an Axis TT, sorry ;)

thats a lovely project, and looks like it will be a fast and racey ride!........polishing is however the work of the devil!.....threatening wankers cramp and the ruination of manicured fingernails, pairs of clean jeans and white t shirts the world over!......it is my intention to rid my life of its evil, sticking to consumption of beer and pringles by the tubeful as i mock your decline into madness.....(nods knowingly) :|

At last I got some time to work on the bike. Made some progress but saddle hasn´t arrived yet.

(Sorry for the bad quality pics...better ones as soon as the bike is finished)
