Old School Hero
That's my new purchase : a 88 Maverick, first owner.
I've bought it 2 weeks ago for about 20£. Everything was original, even the tyres !
I've just changed the saddle and the grips.
I love his "vintage style"

Do I get a spotters badge for noticing you removed the subtle reflectors from the wheels?

[edit] Also, whilst the colour scheme isn't something I would go for I think it looks really distinctive and works really well. Looks like you've kept it in fantastic condition.

Indeed, it's not the lightest mtb  but I just love this bike... He's so thin... It's the opposite of my deltav1000 or Yeti 575.
And he's part of the mtb history ;)

Had one of these in '88 or'89, paid about £200 I think. At the time I thought it was the biz, but still, it got me into mountain biking and gave me a hobby for life as armed with an Ordnance Survey map I learnt many of the trails in my area and even further away.

I sold it to someone at work who put it into their garage located in a remote block. Yup you guessed it -- someone broke in via the roof and stole it.

Any way a nice example you have there, enjoy.

Dont know if its just me that thinks it but it really blends in well with the porsche.

definitely has a vintage style to it, love it.
