Hello there : )

I know a girl who's looking for a road bike for budget and she's bout 166-165 cms tall. Well, I don't really want to advise her to buy a new roadie with sh 2200 or sora gruppo and with badly laced noname wheels, so I thought I might "force her" to own one of my old dreams... A nice vintage bike with full tricolor-ultegra group set

this must be better than a road bike she can get for this prize (300 euros cca?) not to mention the cro-moly tubing is more durable than aluminum.

I once had a bike with aelle tubing, that wasn't a very light bike for my taste, but it's much lighter than the low-grade alu frames..

The seller has tons of vintage bikes renovated, trued, greased, in perfectly working condition, I don't know whether 50cm cc meausure would be ideal for her. : )

Your friend is of average height for a woman so there should be lots of choices. However height is just one factor in propper fit and ultimately it has to be right for the person who will ride the bike. If this will be her first bike I would recommend buying a bike locally so that it can be test ridden. To answer the other question that steel bike in your post is likely better than what you could get for the same money at a bike store. New bikes, like new cars, lose tremendous value once they leave the showroom.
