......so I am building it up for the wife. Not sure it will be used, so like you, building a bike I don't need but its fun so why not.
I know exactly what you mean. Not been ridden once:

But I like it! If I could fine the same frame, but larger I may consider swapping it out.

Mines not in the same league
You are right, mine does hover in the higher echelons of 'waste of time'

We should organise a wife bike themed meet. 6 foot blokes on 15" bikes and the like!

That's a different forum entirely...

...it's called BMX isn't it?

Thats a nice frame. I love the old Rockhoppers. I nearly bought this bike but when I went to pick it up they had a 97 Rockhopper reduced because it was last years stock! Its an A1 aluminium frame though. I've still got it now and I love it dearly.

Good luck with the build. Im looking forward to seeing it progress

and i'm back :D
i did some more smoothing the welds.....quite time consuming around the bb shell! and re filled some of friday's work as i ran out of time due to rehersal.

after work tomorrow i will put a few bits of stopper in a couple of pin holes. not bad for a frame i was going to chuck :D

Can't beat a proper 'saved from the brink' resto, enjoying this one.

You know we're all going to be bugging you for resprays now though, right?

guide coated and ready for the big flat...you know, the bit called "prep" that takes bloody ages :?

i decided that'll do. it's no showbike!!
anybody got any ideas for colour? i really like the approach we use when helping customers choose colours for race cars......think outside the box! open your kitchen cupboard, look at things like beer cans, sweet wrappers, cartons etc. they have been designed by professional marketing types, and more thought has gone into it than you think, take a can of stella......white background with a small amount of red and gold....it works!
