I have never been sure as to exactly what model my carlton is or its year.
It has 72 stamped near the headset.

Can anyone help me please?

We could do with more close up photo's of the lugs, but the Carlton Continental and Carlton Circuit both had wraparound seat stays.

I'm sure an expert will be along shortly :)

Hmm, al the car;ltons we sold were numbered and that's how we checked stock. Is there anything stamped on the non-driveside rear dropout?

Y8388 is on the rear dropout.

I was thinking bit like my old one which I eventually decided was probably a continental but did have the frame number under bb.........

Y numbers on the rear dropout is 1967-68 which ties in with the Crespera lugs. The 72 on the head tube lug is the angle of the head tube in degrees...

Just have to tie in the year with the model.

Continental would still be my favourite but wil check, where is Spokesmann when you need him LOL
