I would like to think that the Mercian has good value both financially and sentimentally. (not really the word I want but...) Its restored honestly without trying to be new. I would much prefer those 531 stickers and period kit than something shiny and new. If it was my size I would be making an offer!
Clean it and ride it, don't improve it. If you sell it make the new owner promise to never restore it!!
