Bought this years and years ago but much to my shame the fully build pics never made it on here - spent last year or so tucked away in a storage unit after a house move but is now back on the workstand to be built back up again.

Follow progress here....

I've always wondered why a bike called the 'dogs bolx' was built using 753 rather than 853 tubing. Is 753 better or was it just the best at the time?

IIRC These were built prior to the release of 853 tubing so yes it was the best available, same as the Zinn 753 ;) :D

DB's are usually made from Columbus tubing, along with a lot of Chas's other frames.

I like the forks on this one, I've not seen them before, nice.

Please don't build it up with white (cream) tyres, it looks much more purposeful with 'real' tyres.

Looking forward to seeing it finished.

Very COOL.

To my mind, this was one of the most carefully thought out "Steel" race frames on the planet.

A benchmark to be measured by, and quickly suggested by the press at the time as the "Ultimate" in Steel.

The British press, at least...

Alas.........Say la vie.
