What colour should I paint my 1979 Carlton Professional?

As an aside, we had an awful job selling green bikes in the 70's as it was considered an unlucky colour. We deliberately used to avoid high stock levels of anything green :)

That is nice, but my favourite of yours is this one.

Quite a rare colour too, so that appeals.

Anyway I am taking it in in about an hour and have to decide! Bronze or blue?[/quote]

The Contra la Montre was/is owned by another Carlton fan,he has/had a lovely collection of Raleighs from the 1940's till the 1980's.It was seeing these that got me restoring/collecting old bikes.Trying to wittle the numbers down just to odd ball frame designs.....but having difficultity parting with my three remaining Carltons.

yeah, great paint job. Far better than I was expecting.
Those 600 brake calipers look great, far more beautiful than my 600 tricolours
