Anyone planning to get out and ride in the snow tomorrow?

As suspected I don't have the bothered  12 hours at work fixing boilers and dealing with the roads has knackered me and it all starts again at 8am. May e after work tomorrow. Pint instead.

I want pictures though guys.

Hopefully if it keeps falling. I love riding in the snow. Will change the pedals though from clipless to flats as if you do hit a bit of ice the speed of sudden snap is too fast to unclip.

I always ride flats...trouble I found today was that the snow compacted and froze around the pins...no grip!

If it is good to go tomorrow it won't be the usual skate shoes I wear with flats but chunky walking boots.

Sadly not - my brakes need replacing. Hydraulic brakes *grumble grumble*

Starting to see the advantages of old skool braking ...

If they're anything like my Hope(less) M4's they won't work in the snow anyhow!

Nope - xt 760 brifters - the caliper seals have gone so contaminating the pads.

Of course, you can't get replacement calipers, so need new shifters *As well*

Thinking some mid-skool nos braking, but unsure.

Frames A whyte 19 so the whole thing is a bit mod-retro

probably not - fell over yesterday - made mistake of cycling over a tarmac track that must have had compacted snow due to park vehicle - should have stayed on the canal towpath.

I assume you have the dual control levers.

I'd just source a pair of second hand brakes and steal the callipers. Jobs a good 'un.
