I tend to look at a lot of posts. questions usually get answered straight away so no point posting the same thing again unless you just want people ti know that you know as well!

build threads I like to look at but tend to keep my opinions to myself.

I like looking at repair posts and then think "Oh right" but don't feel confident to post any replies myself, I'm a bit of a novice at bike building even though I've cobbled a few together, more by luck than good judgment

It seems quite natural to me. I read hundreds (thousands?) of posts without feeling the need to contribute to them all.
