This amazing pick up was made possible by none other than former GT media guru Todd Toth. Todd's story on this bike begins in late 96 when he was having lunch with the then editor of Bike magazine who went on talking about how he saw cycling get back to basics...simple single speeds, commuters and the like. Todd having just wrapped up catalog stuff for the 97 model GT line said "you must be nuts, have you seen our line for 97?" Todd later asked Forrest Yelverton if it would be possible to do a single speed Psyclone. Forrest said yes it would but it might take some time to round up the necessary parts/dropouts. What you are seeing is the only known single speed Pstclone to come out of GT's Tech Shop. This ones a 19" frame, fillet brazed out of True Temper Gold tubing. I got it with and XTR crank, brake levers and brakes. Some nice Mavic/Paul hubbed wheels. I swapped out the saddle, the Bologna lite from black to red and added the GT cranks and A DOS freewheel in the back. Weighs under 20lbs and is just a screaming fun bike to ride.
