Ritchey P-650b 19" frame

I really like the look of the 650b. Much neater dropouts than the 29er. I don't think you can get a CK headset though, I think it's an internal bearing (campag standard)

yip no CK head set getting a cane creek 110 drop in. :)

I have my front wheel build up with weights on the digital scales.

xtr crest 650b hope Rro 2 Evo 15gr 723g
with kenda karma 2.0, 160mm hope rotro, maxxis tube & cloth rim strip 1457g
the old m717 disc rim hope pro 2 15gr it replaces weighs744g with a cloth rim strip.

Pic of the wheel in the fox forks 10mm clearance from the top of a knob to the botton of the fork arch. :D so not really a winter ride, I don't mind that's what I have my single speed for :D

more pics added

a few more pics it begs the question could i have done all of this with my KHS frame, once the rear wheel is build I will check the clearance on the seat & chain stays. From all accounts it raises the BB by 20mm.

I am not running the 650b wheel/fork combo in my 26" KHS frame. It was put together to check the tire/fork clearance for any issues. 10mm is enough for dry weather riding, the sticky clay mud we have here in winter would be impossible. Going to 1.8" tires would help but there aren't any for 650b yet.

pics of the rear brake chain stay mount. Sweet drop outs too. :)
Unlike the pic on the ritchey web site the rear brake hose is along the top tube and down the seat stay. The web pic shows the hose running down the down tube and along the chain stay.

Sweet frame, Love the detail on the rear brake mount and drop out.

I sense a Ritchey frame in my future, the 29er some day ...

Enjoy!!

well she is almost there,,,,,,,,,,,,

Waiting for the headset, and the rear wheel to be built. The pics are less the head set & with the hope Pro 2 blue 26" rear wheel in. The new wheel will match the front re Hope Pro 2 evo with the blue 160 rotor & blue QR.

She feels sub 11kg............... :D
