In all honesty, I don't know, never ridden one. People on here seem to like them though.

I don't really see that a FS bike is any easier on the knees, TBH. If anything, I always find the opposite and that a rigid single speed is easiest on my knees.
Even on a FS bike you're out of the saddle a lot so your legs get used as suspension, just like with a hard tail, and the effort of pedalling the thing is still the same.
