what else do you collect ?

I seem to be collecting off cuts, of pretty much anything.
Wood of all kinds, even though I'm not a carpenter or even into wood work.
Metal even some engineering stock, though I no longer have a lathe or any machinery.
Tubing of all kinds?

I'm just glad it's not a hoarding issue.

So, where do you get these offcuts?

Is there a shop where you buy them? Friends and relatives make occasional contributions? Sneak around other peoples workshops and sheds in the dead of night?

Are there other offcut collectors?

A web site and forum at offcut-collectors.co.uk perhaps

It's all the stuff you keep just in case, but never use in case you need it later.

Sorry to thread resurrect, but that just nailed it completely for me! I've tried to not be like it, but then instantly needed whatever I've got rid of (obviously)...

Leica Cameras

My small collection of Leicas including a M3, double stroke with Summicron 5cm f/2 dual range; IIIC with Sumitar 5cm f/2; IIf with Xenon 5cm f1.5; 1a with Elmar 50mm f/3.5 and lastly a '50s era lighter that looks like a Leica.

Back to the future bits and bobs.

VW stuff air cooled models, and 1/18 VW models that get modified into drag cars.
