Good News For Mayhem '13

Just had an email saying it's the 15th/16th June, with camping from the 14th. Not at Eastnor, but within 40 miles and a new "secret" location that amoung other things "with well made forest tracks plus gravely rock structure and high organic content making the soil drain well"

YMMV :)

im awaiting venue tbh, if its 40mile north itll be easier, further away i may give it a miss, weekend is early and term finishes weeks after. we'll see

Sounds interesting!
Whats within this distance? Any ideas?

As the crow flies, it goes as far west as the Brecons Beacons, south to just north of Bristol, north to pretty much Birmingham and east to just before Banbury.

Will post up the full text of the email this evening.

Though organisers can only tease by saying "we've struck gold" as new plot to remain a secret for now

Following last year's deluge, the Wiggle Mountain Mayhem has announced that the venue will move 40 miles down the road this year, though all organisers can say at present is "we've struck gold".

The dates have been announced too as running over the weekend of the 15th/16th of June, with camping opening on the 14th.

Patrick Adams of Pacific Edge Events, owners and organisers of Wiggle Mountain Mayhem said “After last year's
Mayhem at Eastnor – as no doubt everyone knows the muddiest ever experienced – we decided it was time for a
change. Finding a new location for Wiggle Mountain Mayhem is no easy task. There are very few places that
have everything that we need.

“We are beside ourselves with excitement if the truth be known. We believe we have found the perfect venue. It is less than 40 miles from Eastnor, but as a private venue, we are extremely lucky to have found it. There are well made forest tracks and gravely rock structure with high organic content making the soil drain well. It is only through many hours of research that we did, but my goodness it was worth waiting for.

“We are sworn to secrecy for a little while longer. We are fit to burst!! Suffice to say the venue is privately owned, never ever been used for cycling before and has some really exciting mountain biking. We can't say better than that.”
