Is short cage compatible with 9/10 speed?

Ive seen a 10 speed short arm designed for DH, maybe its because
of the single ring chain set? Then again that might be crap to

Haha! They generally dont cover larger cassettes. Or its not ideal unless with a small ring or such. But yeah short 9/10.

I have a 9 speed XTR M960 RR rear mech for sale, the shorter of the cages it came in. As previously mentioned these are typically designed to be used with cassettes using a slightly smaller big cog. This one iirc can go up to 32 tooth.
