How do i disable tap to click....

on my Samsung X22 laptop?

it does my head in and i cant find the device settings for the touchpad.
its not in the usual place (control panel, mouse, settings etc).

see image below for my device manager list.

it annoys me as when i'm typing, i'll gently brush it and i start typing somewhere else in the page. i don't touch type so i don't notice sometimes.
gets very irritating so would like to know how to disable it.

Look in the notification area for an icon or on the end tab of the mouse setting, hit the advanced buttons. Though it doesnt seem to have any specific drivers installed ALPS or Synsptics are the common ones

If I'm typing lots, I'll turn the touchpad off entirely and use a mouse

Just a quick one, alter sensitivities first as it should be the palm check that kicks in stopping what's happening to you.

I disabled the tap click thing on my Acer the same day I bought it.I hate it,yet the Mrs is totally comfortable with the tap click.The acer has a button just below the keyboard to turn the tap on/off

i cant even find the option to turn off the touchpad. all it says is that i have a mouse connected (PS/2) which is bollocks because i dont use a mouse, just the touch pad... :?.
it isnt an option anyway as we dont have/use a desk...... :roll:

Just looked at which touchpad it uses and it's Synaptics so you should have way more control over it than you would imagine.

If there isn't a Synaptics symbol in the notification area (or the arrow up bit) next to the clock, then install the drivers.
Advised to get the Samung specific customisations

If no look then go generic.

Is there an fn key to turn it off? Sounds like you might need a driver update too
