In the article it says the nickname for the T3 is the "Wedge", surely that is wrong, it's "the Brick" as in http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/
and http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/
I've never heard or read of a T3 being referred to as the Wedge, anyone else agree?

I've always called the T3 " the wedge" always presumed it was because they were more angular than the bays.

But can't remember where I first heard it called that, probably in the trade as I didn't go to many shows or read that many VW mags.

Wedge ive heard of, and occasionally use.
Wedge, brick, vanagon, T3, T25... I don't care what you call it, I just wish people could agree cos it gets 'kin confusing talking about those things between the bay and the T4

sod em all and get a T5 like this instead.

I'll stick to my bay thanks. I could build a new engine for it each year for the same cost as the depreciation on a t5
(And no, I can't actually afford either route ;) )

didn't someone post that for the cost of buying an old campervan and running it, one wouuld have 8 weeks in a B&B per year for 20 years? or some such similar estimate.

.... personally I would prefer a split screen than B&B regardless of the "savings".

depends how much "scene tax" you add on when selling, got ours at a good price and could sell tomorrow for pretty much the same as we got it for,the prices on T5!s are crazy. :D :D

They say the best up to date one is a t4 as that's the last of the vans built in Germany the t5's are built somewhere in the west and have known faults like gear linkages and electrical faults.

If it was my money I'd have a wedge as its still air cooled but will sit at 70 all day on the motorway.
