Any idea what model Carlton this is?

Thought I'd share my daily ride with the group.

It is an ancient Carlton, though I have no idea what model - do any of you have any thoughts?

The frame number is on the rear drop out and seems to suggest that the bike was made between 1968-1973, unless you know better?

It's a Corsa from the early 1970s.

I had one that colour!

I started road racing on it in 1976 in Port Elizabeth while we were living out there. Was the heaviest bike in the field by a long way - even had the rack on it from riding to school. I finished 3rd.

From there I got upgraded to a Continental in hideous brown, and then ultimately a Professional with proper tubs and all. Had the luxury of 3 bikes - a ride to school bike, my Carlton Professional for racing, and a DHC track bike.

I raced the all chrome version as a kid in the early 70's .........the Cobra

Got me started on bikes.
