Help request - advice from the recent dads please

Several nights out on the lash.

A cigar, even if she doesn't smoke.

Seriously though, something for her, that is nothing to do with baby.

:)

Thanks chaps. Good advice as always.

Now what "Just for her" thing for christmas? A physical thing for her to unwrap as well as a voucher for a massage at the gym?

It's not particularly romantic, but how about a box set of a favourite/unwatched tv series. She is going to have a lot of broken sleep and strange hours to keep per the next few months, and this will give her and excuse to stay awake during those late night feeds.

Btw encourage her as much as poss to breast feed as not only are there massive health benefits for her and baby, by the convenience of milky 'on tap' is also massive, no forward planning reqd and no cleaning up afterwards. It can be really hard work to get it right to begin with but once they got in the swing of it it's a doodle. My wife really struggled at the start but fed mk1 for 18 months and mk2 for 12. Long enough, but not weirdly long

ha! no a dvd box set fails in the present category even for a bloke. ask isaac_ag she is a lady and rides a bike AND has a kid so ask the expert.
blokes (generally) suck at being thoughtfull and appropriate. (i bought mrs chute a machete for a valentines present once)

Give her some time off from having to look after you - by spending all your time at your local inn.

Found it! A solution to the quandry.

She will be getting a nice, new watch. It is shiny, and she dropped a subtle hint yesterday when we saw one that she liked on an advert.
