Why not a Turbo or a fine Flite ?

"Still need to fully refurb the SPD's and may change the saddle when I can find a period one in decent condition."

24pouces, if you'd read my post you would have seen I am planning to change the saddle when I can find the right one (and have the money for it). Had the Bontrager lying around so fitted it to complete the bike. Even though it's new I don't think it looks that bad, but each to their own I suppose.

Beautiful Raleigh Technium Peak !

The others I recall that had cool colors were Technium Heat, Chill, Obsession and Instinct.

:)

Managed to find a more appropriate saddle for the bike. Not sure what year this is from (perhaps someone can enlighten me) but it seems to fit the look of the bike quite well. I'll get the bike out for it's first ride over the holidays and post some pic's of it muddied up :D

Looks good, you should find a date stamp under the saddle.

Have you ridden it yet? I think it will be very nice!

Aah that's clever, 2006 then. Not retro (yet) but it's got the look I wanted plus Tioga and Raleigh USA seem to go together quite nicely, if it's good enough for Tomac it's good enough for me ;). Not ridden it yet but off work for the next 2 weeks so will get out on it soon.

That's really nice, but please sort that saddle out!!

Maybe a black Rolls??

I really want to get hold of a Technium Chill for my brother as a surprise present as his was stolen in the early 90's, still one of the best looking bikes I've ever seen - his was the blue/splatter/silver one.
