I find the differences subtle but definitely noticeable. I would think even more so for someone your height. Have two mates both over 6ft and they wouldn't go back. Packaging issues on smaller frame sizes are an issue but anyone over 5'8 would be ok. As with all things bike, it's not an answer to everything but very good at what it does.
