Custom Colnago Cargo Bike-strange cat!!!!!

I got this for 50 euro's
I had previously seen an older rider on one, who I duly stopped in the street to
inquire about the provenance of his strange steed, which was in Lampre colours, he told me about his collection , assured me it was genuine, hence
being able to recognize this
made from Columbus Aelle tubing, the welds are similar to the early '90's steel mtb' made by Colnago, and the Radonneur still has some of the original Deore XT components, which were factory fitted to most Colnago mtb's of that era
I had two mtb's previously, one in the same green that I gave to a friend, which I will photograph for comparative purposes, I will also add a catalog scan of that era
The wheels are 26", tt is around 56 cm, but seatube c-t is around 52 cm c-t, the geometry is
simialr to the mtb's , so I'm not sure if it's too small for me

Interesting! Any serial number? Strip off the clutter and you could have a nice bike. Some of the old Colnago MTBs are lovely.

yes, it has a serial number on the headtube
I have a catalog scan, and will go and take pics of the mtb I gave my mate, same one as in the catalog, with green on the headtube, (Supelative)
As I said, the weld is identical, and the tubes ovalize like the mtb's, the tt is 56, but the seattube is like mtb geometry, the wheels are 26''
I wonder if this is full size spec, or built especially for those of Lilliputian proportiions?

the green headtube is the radonneur/unimog with serial no stamp

the mtb geo is 52 cm c-t seatube, 47 c-c, 54 cm top tube,
the radonneur is 57 cm top tube, 52 cm c-t seat tube, strange, would it be for a lilliputian with an abnormally long torso, or is meant to be idden with the seat post high, like the mtb's?

I stripped the frame, stem is stuck, and will lose the crank
got a Deore group, better stem/bars, wheels And mudguards to put on, getiing tyres , spied a nice rack for the front with good load capacity, hopefully it will be a practical utility mutant

I didn't realise Colnago made such a range mtbs, I'm not sure about some of the colour schemes, but the bikes look good, and I very much like the straight forks.

I'm not sure if this would be classed as an MTB,
in Velobase's 1994 Colnago Catalog ther is a reference to a Colnago L'Umo City Bike, so perhaps that is what it is, and the one I saw in Lampre colours was the same
