The problem is the range.
You are better off with decent kitchen scales for the heavier items and some dope scales for the wee ones.

Calibration sometimes drifts off a couple of grams while weighing stuff but I just check they return to zero afterwards, if not reset and weigh again.

It makes sense to have hanging scales as well as the ordinary type, tricky to balance frames and such rather than hang them.
