Great bike. This is one I need to add to my collection. - wanna sell it?

I alway thought the rear gear cable went along the top tube on the team Marin. The team marin was the only one in the range to have a Tange Prestige frame, maybe your's is a normal frame rebadged? = best sell it to me.

Ha nice try no way anyone is getting their mits on this! Certainly a Team....my Team muuuhahaha!

The other US "1991" catalogue (must be later as colours/patterns are closer to 1992) shows under BB routing. They probably just used a 1990 frame for those early brochure shots.

Your forks/bars do look a lot less pink than the brochures and decals but maybe just the camera? I think to make sure the stem, bars and forks match you might have to get them all painted :?

...You could be right on the frame and also the colour matching. Although when I removed the grips there was no noticable difference in the colour... Having found a NOS Pine Mountain one which was too good to respray I have had the luck to find a NOS Team one (Albeit a 92 but in this condition I'm not being that fussy!) So I'll see when that arrives how it matches up...at worst need to respray both forks and bars but might be able to get away with just the bars as there is separation between them and the forks...we'll see!

...so got a re-issue Panaracer Dart for the front now just need the smoke for the rear! Any one have a NOS smoke or v good condition one let me know!

Wheel porn...pure and simple! Got my Panaracer Dart for the front wheel today looks sweet! Can't beat the clean skin wall and dark rim combo in my opinion...just lovely!

...So still waiting on the stem and barends...but I have managed to get hold of an X-Lite PSS1 black titanium/kelvar saddle. Its got some minor wear but in pretty good nick...

...Not sure if its in "period" or not anyone know when this saddle was around?

Ok

So the stem has arrived...however it is no where near a match colour wise for the current handlebar/forks. Its much more orangy than I expected in the main body although the lower part of the quill is far more pink...Also it is 110mm in length rather than the 130mm one I have on there currently. So maybe it came fitted from a bike and has itself faded or is it an Eldridge one?...either way it can't go on as it is!

I always knew it was going to be a nightmare to colour match the existing bars and forks so I expect no sympathy! Now thinking I might just have to bite the bullet to get the result that I am happy with and get the forks/bars/stem all powder coated by a professional!

The pics make the colours look more different than they are...

Looks like a 1992 Eldridge one to me mate. Pretty sure the 'Marin Light' parts came out in 92 and as you'll know the Team wasn't pink in that year.

I had a 1990 Eldridge that had faded paint and looked pink.
