I had my hopes up there when I saw that the post had had a reply. Bugger!!
You need to get a set of these. I worked with Greg Softley at Cyclomondo to produce a new set for my frame but when I got them I thought they would be a waste as the originals arnt really that bad, So, I am holding on to them and am on the look out for a raleigh 531, 653, 753 steel frame to respray and use these on. You could go down that route....

I did actually think about a respray of a 1989 653 Raleigh that I have, then I thought I would end up spending about £200 on something that's not original. One will crop up one day hopefully.
