the unofficially cool MTB drop bar thread

Just took this out for it's maiden voyage today:

Ti softail frame, Magura HS66 levers mated to Julie calipers, Magura-Rond forks, Hope XC hubbed wheels, Salsa Woodchipper bars.
I need to get a higher rise stem on it, but it was a blast to ride, and handled extremely well - especially given the, ahem, moist conditions!

Help!!!

I bought the bars and stem from Harris Cyclery as someone linked up earlier in the thread, but not being experienced in this --- or even very good at puzzles! ;) , I'm wondering how best to overcome this stem around a tight curve issue. Is this something where you just grease it an whack it with a hammer, or is this in fact an undoable combination?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

you need to spread the clamp open more,a nd yes maybe a lil grease too

My FisherHam is coming along. I need to locate some levers and shifters. It'll be ready for my crew's annual Christmas pub ride.

probably WTB /Specialized RM IIs or a variation,
the mounts are called WTB multimounts i believe

bars are easier to find than the mounts
