I bought this as a winter project just a short while ago after a quick scan on the bay like everyone does and noticed this little thing.....The wife has a crappy alloy Trek which weighs quite a lot and really liked the idea of building it back to its orignal past for her.

Its faded a fair bit which is a shame (any tips) but really quite fancy keeping the original paint and decals maybe if i can...It comes with the original stalk post and bars which are in good nick...The Orange saddle is shagged though...

Its probably going to be a slow burner this one as this is the first time ive really had a proper look at it and ive had it for two 6 weeks

Im going to call this project........Operation her indoors

P.S Id like to say i wouldnt of got this down to sunny Somerset if it wasnt for Kaya. The bike was in Middlesrough  Thanks mate

Enjoy Orange lovers

I would keep the paint as is it looks ok but if it is for your wife she might love it more if you paint it in her fav colour, I did the same thing albeit for my boy, was pink and purple but built it up for him in your colours. I built up for my boy for his xmas- this is how it started

He looks dead chuffed with that....and i think i would of been at his age  Very nice mate anyway.

I will strip decals off and give it a t-cut,i might even have a go at just touching up the white or maybe just over spray it....How hard can it be......

Looks a great little frame, depends on budget I guess - mine was painted by bob jackson and it's amzaing - you've got to keep it orange/white regardless! Do you need any finishing kit? I'm about to ebay a load of stuff next week from my clockwork build

Will keep the paint for sure...its just an iconic bike brand and wouldnt dream of changing it  I want to do it on a small scale money wise but have all winter to do it.

Reminds me i need to get some lighting sorted out for the shed
