my mates just got a rockrider 8.1. I believe its french. The internal dia of the headtube is 39.5mm. Will this be a fully internal headset?

Tried a semi josh and it was too big. Pmsl that sounds so bad. They for a 44mm headtube

Standard 1 1/8th is too small and l8ke i said cartridge is too big. Bloody french

Just measured an unused 1 1/4 frame, and the internal diameter of that one's headtube is around 37mm.
If the manufacturer can't help, I'd suggest measuring the 1 1/8" headset and having spacers made so that you can press-fit it to the frame.
Or you could go to war with France.

Manufacturer aint replying. Im gonna take the headset out the zopbop later and measure upper on that
